EKG Tech and Tech in Surgery students may take the NCCT board exam at a Zenith Career Services location. Rescheduling is available for a fee & must be done through NCCT.

Altamont Healthcare graduates are eligible for our externship program upon certification with the exception of graduates from only the ERT program. Externships are included in the cost of your program (optional for SPD and EKG Programs).

• NOTE: The schedule & length of your externship are negotiated between you and your contracted hospital. Externships last 240-400 hours (Tech in Surgery Externship lasts for 155 procedures).

SPDT Program – Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician Certificate Course

We are offering 4 SPD Classes in Summer 2026:

• 2 Weekday Classes:
  • MWF: Mondays & Wednesdays 8am – 5PM; Fridays 8am to 12pm
  • TTH: Tuesdays & Thursdays 8am – 5pm
